Founded in 1899, Mount Ida College is a small, private college in Newton, Massachusetts, just minutes from Boston which provides career focused programs built upon a strong foundation in the social sciences, humanities and the arts, all developed and implemented to prepare our approximately 1,400 students for success in their chosen fields of endeavor.

Job responsibilities – provide supervision to dental hygiene students during patient care in the dental hygiene clinic including but not limited to:
• supervise, evaluate, and teach dental hygiene students (during patient exams, dental charting grading, radiographic interpretation);
• work in collaboration with MIC faculty in discussion of patient medical/dental assessment and treatment plans;
• administer and/or direct emergency medical and/or dental care;
• triage patients who present with dental emergencies (in conjunction with Supervising Dentist);
• prescribe adjunctive dental hygiene therapies (e.g, chlorhexidine, etc.);
• provide documentation of care and referrals when necessary; and
• consults with the clinical coordinator and the Supervising Dentist when appropriate.

Required Qualifications:
DMD or DDS; current MA license to practice dentistry; current malpractice insurance; current CPR certification
